We’ll it was finally the morning of the run Sunday, February 10, and after a short and night of rest, my nerves were on end. Last night we had our first meet. It was quite what I expected from our early surveillance, it was very low key and suited our purpose.
My new team seems pretty legit, except Freckles, but she has surprised me a bit today, who knows she may not be as bad a liability as I’m envisioning. Betty Sue is quite the specimen, she seems to know her way around firearms, by the heat she’s packing. She’s quite developed for a 14 year old, but then again unlike Freckles and Emma she’s an Ork. Bart seems the most disciplined of the bunch. He didn’t say much during the night but exhumed confidence, so I hope it’s not just for looks. Freckles vouches for him, he saved her life, or flesh, from what I gather. The last female of the group Maja, was a dirty street urchin when we first met. But after she got cleaned up, she definitely had my attention. She said she followed Rat, so she must be an awakened, of some sort. Lastly, it brings us to Dmitri, who just so happens to be my contact with the The Vory, to whom I’ve made payments for the last 2 years. It seems he has divulged to their organization my connections to this team, which has damaged my trust in him. I don’t know his use in this group, except that he was possibly put here to watch me. Which would also mean Geordie is Vory. “This situation sounds worse the more I think about it, I finally found a quicker way to pay off my debt and all of the sudden there’s pressure, as if I had missed a payment prior.” I mumbled to myself trying to extinguish all of the thoughts from my head. “We’ve got a job to do, Focus damnit,” I spouted off, as sight of the bridge came into view.
